FA Charter Standard Re-Certification

FA Charter Standard Re-Certification

Dan Wright2 Apr 2020 - 09:00

Club successful in FA annual health check to retain Charter Standard status

At Benfleet Football Club we are extremely proud of our FA Charter Standard status, which demonstrates that we have met benchmarked standards on a number of key FA principles including qualifications of team coaches and provision of the right environment for junior football.

The programme is The FA's well-known accreditation scheme which is open to all grassroots clubs and leagues. It aims to raise standards in the grassroots game, supporting the development of clubs and leagues, recognising and rewarding commitment, quality and achievement. It is important not only to demonstrate to existing and prospective players that we meet a certain standard, but also internally to ensure we are adopting the right practices and following not only the FA's requirements but also their best practice recommendations.

We are pleased to report that following an annual health check we have been re-accredited to the scheme.

We know that due to COVID-19 some team coaches and volunteers have been unable to attend their courses as booked, and this is likely to continue to be the case in the weeks and months to come. If you are booked onto a course between now and the end of the summer we encourage you to contact your course administrator for updates and we would recommend re-booking as soon as possible, given the likelihood that courses running later in the year will be over-subscribed in view of the current situation.

Where you are unable to find your course administrator or have contacted them and not had a response, please contact Dan Wright or Mark Moyler for further support.
