Benfleet Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of a new first team manager. Alex Salmon joins the club from Sawbridgeworth, where he did a fantastic job saving the club from relegation last season.

Alex had a long playing career in the non-league and has a strong record in management, with teams managed including Basildon United, Burnham Ramblers and Sawbridgeworth. We are really pleased to be welcoming Alex to the Club, and believe he'll be really well placed to continue to build on the great work that Rob Polkinghorn did at the club last season.

Rob is unable to continue in his role due to work commitments, but leaves with an enormous amount of gratitude for the great work he did in getting us into the play-offs with no budget.
